In many ways it works like a forklift, but in some ways it’s totally different in its operation. The walkie-stacker model forklift is designed for a person to operate the truck while walking, not riding the equipment. Unlike the rider forklifts or counterbalanced equipment that is designed for heavier loads, the walkie-stackers are designed for less demanding loads and shorter travel distances.
Topics included in this safety video are: training, controls of the walkie-stacker including - key switch, the handle, throttle controls, switch, which raises and lower the load, HORN button, safety reversing switch, the handle, control that extends the fork and adjusts the tilt of the load, battery disconnect switch, Key OFF Inspection, Key ON Inspection, basic operating procedures, engineering principles, and centers of gravity.
