NFPA 70E - Arc Flash Safety for Employees
Increasing deaths, injuries and property loss from arcing faults have led to increased study into the causes. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 70E) is the principle regulator to establish minimum requirements for improving electrical safety. The National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA citations are now being written based on NFPA 70E requirements. This program is an introduction to understanding and reducing arc flash hazards with emphasis on safety.
