Utility Locations Call Before You Dig
The term “Call before You Dig” is the law. If you are going to plant a tree, install a mailbox, basketball goal, ground rods or open an excavation for pipeline or any other underground work, you are required to take the time to call the local underground utility location organization before digging. Failing to make the "call" can result in damage to the utility and too often deaths from electrocution, fire, explosion, and killing bystanders.
